It is ¾ mile from the beaches at Abermawr and Aberbach and approximately 2 miles from Strumble Head and its lighthouse – very popular with birdwatchers and walkers alike. Within a few miles is Fishguard with its wealth of restaurants, galleries and shops. The ferry port to Rosslare sails from Fishguard where day trips to Ireland are available. St David’s Cathedral is well worth a visit and the neighbouring Bishop’s Palace. Boat trips to and around various islands including Ramsey, Skomer and Skokholm. Visit them in the Spring when the islands are covered in wild flowers and seabirds are nesting or alternatively in the Autumn when the seal pups are resting on inaccessible beaches.
